• Account & Authentication Information: Your Moodle site URL, username, password (or authentication tokens), profile details, and role (e.g., student, teacher).
• Course Data & Usage Activity: Course enrollments, grades, forum posts, assignment submissions, quiz responses, and offline learning progress.
• Device & Log Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, and app log data necessary for debugging and performance monitoring.
• User-Uploaded Media: Photos, videos, audio recordings, or document files that you explicitly upload to complete assignments or update your profile.
• Push Notification Tokens: Unique device tokens required to deliver course announcements, assignment reminders, and message alerts.

2. How Your Information Is Used

We use the collected information solely to facilitate your learning experience, including:

• Authenticating your user session with your target Moodle site.
• Displaying course content, grades, and announcements.
• Allowing offline access to downloaded course materials.
• Sending push notifications regarding course activity (if enabled).
• Ensuring app stability, resolving crashes, and improving performance.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your privacy and data security are paramount:

• Data Transmission: All communications between the App and the Moodle site are encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) technology via HTTPS.
• Local Storage: Credentials and offline course content stored on your mobile device are saved within the application's isolated local storage sandbox.
• Server-Side Storage: Your academic data resides directly on the host Moodle server managed by your institution or site administrator. The App developer does not harvest or sell your personal data.

4. Third-Party Services

Depending on app feature usage, third-party service providers may process specific limited data:

• Push Notification Services: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) are used to relay notifications to your device.
• External Media & Links: Courses may contain embedded content (such as YouTube videos or external web pages) which operate under their respective privacy policies.

5. Camera, Storage, and Microphones Permissions

The App may request access to specific device features only when necessary for educational activities:

• Camera & Photos: Needed if you take or upload pictures/videos for course assignments.
• Microphone: Needed if you record audio responses or voice notes.
• Storage: Needed to download course files for offline reading or save submitted assignments.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your mobile device settings.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your academic records are maintained according to your Moodle site administrator's data retention policies. If you wish to delete your mobile app login session or cached data from your device, you can log out or uninstall the App. To request the full deletion of your user account on the server, please contact your Moodle site administrator directly.

7. Children's Privacy

If this App is used by minors under the age of 13 (or applicable legal age in your jurisdiction), access is intended under the supervision of an educational institution, school administrator, or legal guardian in compliance with applicable privacy laws (such as COPPA or GDPR-K).
